Sundays are for self care in my books. Each time there’s a change in season (still winter to spring here in Toronto) I find my lips need some extra attention. Earlier this winter I began testing Catrice's lip care collection, and boy was it love at first swipe. Read on to see how these lovely lip lustres rival my higher-end favs.
Catrice Lip Treatment 010 Lip Pyjama $10
Hands-down my favourite lip treatment I’ve tried yet. And only $10 at shoppers!? Yes. This creamy lip balm is enriched with shea butter to provide intensive moisture. I use it before going to bed, swiped onto lips with a finger and rubbed in to melt the shea butter into the skin. It is very similar to the BITE lip balm stick and NUXE Rêve de Miel. Try this, you won’t regret it.Catrice Lip Coconut Balm $8
This Catrice nourishing lip balm is enriched with coconut oil, argan oil and vitamin E, leaving lips moisturized with the scent of tropical coconuts. It has a slightly pearly finish so this is a nice daytime lip moisturizer, although I do find myself swiping it on before bed when I'm in a hurry. The coconut scent is lovely, and the finish is a satiny-matte.Catrice Lip Plumping Mask $10
This glossy balm is enriched with hyaluronic acid and creates a plumping effect that visually enlarges the lips. The lip mask isn't sticky and can be applied during the day or overnight. Its light fragrance and non-sticky texture makes it a go-to morning lip product to give a pretty pout.
Catrice Lip Sugar Scrub and Balm $8
Those who love extravagant lip make-up and matt textures will benefit from priming the lips with a balm like this. Packed with sugar, this balm is meant to be massaged onto the lips for 1-2 mins, and then wipe off the excess. An ideal step before applying a full-face, or before bed. Follow up with the Lip Super Serum or the Lip Oil to additionally pamper the lips.
Catrice Lip Oil 010 $10
Dry lips are restored with this pampering transparent almond oil lip treatment from Catrice. Pour a few drops onto the hand, and then dab onto lips with fingers. Remove excess oil after a few minutes and then apply lipstick or hit the sheets. I'm not crazy about this product since I prefer an all-in-one like the Lip Pyjama treatment. This one is a a pass for me.
I'm thrilled with Catrice products and always look to brands like this and Essence when I want to have some fun with drugstore buys. Their prices are super approachable and the quality is some of the best on the market. What lip product is your current fav? See all my other Catrice reviews here.
