Liquid lipstick are very daunting. I've tried a few, mostly from NYX and Nars, none of which really stuck with me for long - no pun intended. The sticky, tacky, dried-glue-like finish of liquid lipsticks can be flat out nasty. Luckily, this lippie right here has truly topped the charts for me. Maybelline's SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in the shade Heroine is cheap and cheerful, and the colour is so unique. I adore the satin finish, and have been wearing it nonstop this summer!

Why is it the best?
I don't like to wear a super full face of makeup in the summer, since the heat and humidity usually don't mesh well with waxy concealers and smudge-prone powders. This lipstick is especially wonderful because it is so water-resistant. You could slap a layer onto *well exfoliated and moisturized* lips, and it won't budge for hours on end. Not to mention that colour... it is SO VIVID - and flattering on virtually all skin tones! I haven't tried this yet, but I'm sure you could sheer out a little dab onto your cheeks for a quick flush. To remove, I gently rub with a tissue or use an Olay Daily Facial dry cleansing cloth moistened with warm water. Here's what it looked like while I was at a pool party!
I got a small haul of items when I went shopping for this lipstick, including a mens face cream for my brother-in-law, my favourite cuticle softener of all time, and a maybelline mascara for my sister:
