Review: AVON 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo Lip Line & Fill Duo

One of my favorite parts of being a blogger is the fact that I get to try samples of products from brands that I might not order from on my own. That "discovery" factor (with no financial implications!) still makes me SO excited, even 7 years in. My friends at AVON never cease to amaze me with their very frequent and innovative launches, and today I'm focusing on lips.



I honestly didn’t expect Avon to have such innovative lip prods, until these lip markers showed up at my doorstep! The 2-in-1 Lip Tattoo Lip Line & Fill Duo ($12 CAD) appears to be water based, and dries down to a very long-wearing finish. They don’t dissolve immediately with oil, which is great for us salad lovers. I wore this marker one evening at family dinner and it wore off very evenly, creating an ombré effect that was easy to fill back in with a single touch up. I find that this colour formula is much easier to deal with than a typical liquid lipstick. Those tend to leave a lacquer-like layer on my lips which can peel, feather and ball up with extended wear. This marker stain is hydrating, extremely pigmented and pretty fool-proof to apply.

TIP! 

Since these lip products apply like a liquid eyeliner, it's important to store them laying on their side, not standing upright. This allows the ink to stay saturated in the applicators.

I find that these shades are all very pretty! The darker shades do look similar in swatches, but when a few layers are applied - you can definitely see the difference.
