As someone who polishes their nails at home on the regular (once every week or two) I make sure to wear an air filtering mask and to keep the fan on so that I breathe in less of the fumes. Ok, that's a slight exaggeration. But since some drugstore prices are creeping up into the high-end range (I'm looking at you, $28 foundation and $19 eyeliner!) Because once I bought a Rimmel lip liner that looks like complete shite and I regret that $6 even to this day.

Even "Natural" products were exclusively sold at farmers markets and The Big Carrot, and everyone's mom was either an Olay, Clinique or Lancome lady.
