My Favourite Clothing Finds From 2018 | Huge J.Crew Haul

I go in and out of phases when it comes to clothing shopping, and most recently I've been on quite the high. I did some serious damage at Zara, American Eagle, J.Crew and Abercrombie in 2018 and wanted to share some of my top picks from these brands.

AERIE

I am having SUCH A MOMENT with Aerie you guys. I buy all of my workout clothes (leggings, tops, sports bras) from them and can't get enough!

I wasn't 100% on this at first but after wearing it once, it has so much support and feels amazing on the shoulders

AERIE PLAY REAL ME HIGH WAISTED 7/8 LEGGING $26.39 CAD

I get millions of compliments on these and they fit like a dream!

AERIE PULLOVER SWEATER$33.22 CAD

Sweaters are a must-have for Canadian winters, and I was really inspired by this post from Mia Mia Mine when curating my winter wardrobe. This one from AERIE has such an amazing fit since it finishes right at the waist. Thick sleeves that go to the wrist make it cute to layer, but also great on its own.

GAP

GapFit Breathe Low Impact Strappy Sports Bra 

These sports bras range from $20-$40 and are the only ones I can wear for an extended period of time. I don't have a large chest so the low-impact support is all I need - even for the jumpiest of classes. They wash well, have great stretch and look so cute, especially from the back.

American Eagle

AE SOFT & SEXY HIGH NECK CROPPED TANK TOP 

These tanks are $9.48 when they're on sale, and fit perfectly over my gap sports bras. I mostly wear them in neutral colours, and that means I can wear them straight out of the gym and I don't look too athleasure. Though they aren't a sports fabric, they're thin enough modal that I don't notice excessive sweating or smell.

Abercrombie & Fitch

ASYMMETRICAL SNAP-UP FLEECE 

Abercrombie strikes again! This sweater is incredibly warm, and looks super chic. Patagonia-esque but a touch more fashionable with the curved hem and quilted accents. I have it in the monochrome grey and the green and beige mix.

Pleated Velvet Midi Skirt 

I'm so obsessed with this skirt, and it's only $30.92 - minimal size selection available. The velvet from Abercrombie is fabulous quality though, and it paired so well with some Forever 21 booties and a Mango top. Not to mention my fabulous Drapey Trench Coat, it's Abercrombie too!

As always, I love my red Accordion Pleated Skirt which is only $30.90 and is perfect for travel (never wrinkles!) and warmer months.

Another must-have for me is the Pleated Ruffle Top currently on sale for $19.99. This Chiffon Crochet Ruffle Top is a good alternative at $42.00 if the pleated ruffle one sells out.

ZARA

I make ridiculously large orders on Zara.com and get the items shipped to a store. Once the packages arrive, I go into the change room (on a weekday at lunch, to avoid crowds) and try everything on. Then I'll take home the items I want, return the ones I don't, and the store is usually really great about recycling the boxes I don't need. This ensures that I have all the sizes I want at the ready, and I can even do exchanges on the spot if they have the items in stock.

STRIPED DRESS WITH EMBROIDERY 79.90 CAD

I love this dress, but not on me. It didn't do anything for my assets and it was too long for my taste. If you're looking to hide something in there (a big lunch? an early pregnancy? who knows) this is the dress for you. Keep the drama up at the top with those sleeves, and the a-line finish is super modern.

RUFFLED TOP DETAILS 39.90 CAD

This one didn't work for me. It would work better for those who don't like wearing bras and have a small chest, and also for those who like high-waist pants!

LINEN TOP WITH BUTTONS 39.90 CAD

I love this shirt so much I want to buy a second one. It fits like a dream and is so dang chic! Easy to fold away in a luggage, and perfect for showcasing a necklace.

SOCK SNEAKERS 59.90 CAD

These were too big on me in a 7.5. Unfortunately they don't come in a 7 so I would need a 6.5, which is probably too small.

ROLLED UP PEARL JEANS 49.90 CAD

The actual jeans I got in my oder were high waist and had more of a cuff, and I only paid $12 :) but I honestly love these ones too with the pearl detailing, so cute!

HEELED SLINGBACK VINYL SHOE 59.90 CAD

I freaking love these. Though they aren't the most comfortable and are a bit of a nightmare for those with sweaty feet (hi), They are so dang chic with the mirrored heel and smooth satin toe. Throw on some Dr. Scholls foot powder before heading out and you'll be good to go.

LEATHER CROSSBODY BAG WITH CHAIN 89.90 CAD

Favourite bag ever alert! This is my Chanel-for-less find that looks incredible with literally any outfit. Kinda. The strappy bits hanging were not my jam so I actually tied them off and cut them out. It fits a surprising amount of stuff and is so comfortable to wear.

BEADED SLIDES 59.90 CAD

These were SO cute! A really nice take on the classic Birkenstock. I would have kept them if I had wider feet. They were too boat-y on me.
