Avon Fall for Paris Fashion Collection | Styling and Review

A few weeks ago I noticed the most gorgeous jacket on my friend Maria's Instagram page. The stunning tweed fabric drew me in, as we all know already that Parisian style is my cup of tea. I eagerly clicked on her blog link to find that the entire look - tee, earrings, handbag and jacket were from the same Avon "Fall for Paris" collection, on sale this fall. I had to get my hands on the jacket especially, and I can't believe that I received the entire collection to showcase in this style post. Here's how I wore all of these pieces for day and night.

Work

For the business-casual look, I paired my Arianne Bouclé Jacket with dark Club Monaco straight-leg jeans, a striped Gap dress shirt, pearl coloured Nine West loafers, a red J.Crew bowling bag and a woven leather belt from Mendocino. This jacket is so warm, which makes it an ideal layering piece for the fall. It has a gorgeous lining which you'll see below, and the wide fit makes it easy to belt and cinch.

Weekend

This weekend or daytime look has to be my favourite. I love the oversize fit of this Brigitte Tee (I have it in small) with simple black graphics depicting a classic French building façade. The weight of this tee is nice and heavy, it's a structured piece that does not wrinkle - perfect for travel. The little side slits make it an easily tuckable top, as you can see in the above shot. I am wearing Flying Monkey jeans, the same J.Crew handbag and Nine West shoes, a Simons red leather belt, a little Parisian themed scarf from J.Crew and my favourite Friday glasses from Clearly. If you're feeling cold, I recommend tossing on a moto-style jacket. Mine is faux suede from Zara.

Night

My fashion motto is: when in doubt, add a pop of red. This adorable red dress is by Lipsy London, gifted to me by my colleague Mona during a recent clothing swap. The structured fit of this dress compliments the Arianne Bouclé Jacket which I've worn as an open blazer here. I styled the look with a simple silver necklace (made by me), some Nine West heels, nude nylons and the Tweed Crossbody Bag. Now, can we talk about these Café Chic Tassel Statement Earrings?! Easily the most dramatic yet comfortable earrings I own. The glitzy rhinestones are offset by soft tassels and hematite toned seed beads. I recommend the Avon jewellery 100x over.

Avon Fashion Review

The Tweed Crossbody Bag has that same metallic tweed fabric we see in the jacket, with pearl-like accents on the front. It has a snap closure with one outer slip pocket - the handiest spot for receipts or your phone. There's also one inner zip pocket, and one inner slip pocket. This bag is fully lined, and holds so much stuff. I will definitely be using it for more formal events to come. It jazzes up a LBD like nothing else, and easily picks up on the blues of denim to pair more casually.

I am so incredibly pleased with this collection from Avon. I really didn't know what to expect, and I'll admit that the slight shimmer running through the tweed fabric scared me at first. After I tried everything on, I was speechless. AVON?? The catalogue our parents have ordered from for decades?! Yes. And you won't be disappointed. The best part is that you can now shop online.
