Clarins Summer 2018 Flamingo Collection | Swatches and Review

I’m honestly surprised I still have all 10 fingers because I’ve never gotten into a package quicker than with Clarins’ Sunkissed Summer 2018 Collection. Everything about it shouts perfection. From flamingo prints to vivid colours, this collection is a must for anyone needing a makeup bag refresh this year. I am reviewing the bronzer, 4-colour pen for lips and eyes, the makeup pouch and a lip comfort oil.

This packaging is so luxurious on this bright and sunny collection, but never ridiculous. I love the flamingo motifs on the limited edition Bronzing Compact, and the incredible functionality of the 4-Colour All-in-One Pen. Cool discovery: The makeup bag I received is actually made from recycled plastic water bottles!

LIMITED EDITION Bronzing Compact

This delectible bronzer comes in one shade and provides a sweep of sunshine over the skin. The big caramel case is decorated in flamingos and the pressed powder smells like a fresh fruit cocktail. This is a fool-proof bronzer, applied like a dream with a big fluffy brush to safely achieve that sun-kissed look. I found that it made my skin look very smooth and refined when applied to contour and highlight using the 3 shades provided. 

Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Shade 08 Blackberry

Don't be fooled by the name, this is a lip gloss not an oil. The purpose of Lip Comfort Oil is to hydrate the lips using the power of plant oils, which are infused into a shiny glaze. This lippie smells like delicious blackcurrant, and includes hazelnut, jojoba and acai oils in it's formula. I layered it over the pink lip liner in the photos below. It is the perfect topper to a drier liner, adding juicy moisture that lasts while also repairing chapped skin.

I was pretty much jumping up and down for an hour after opening my 4-Colour pen. GUYS!! How adorable is it!? Totally reminiscent of my favourite Bic 4-colour ballpoint pens, which are made in France, this lip liner and eyeliner pen is my new handbag and travel-bag essential. It is truly innovative since you have a black, emerald green, intense plum and bright pink lip all in one convenient package. To use, click down the shade you desire and twist the white cap to reveal the coloured pencil. At $35 I would say this is a fantastic deal sine the payoff is really good.
