I'm the type of gal who will pick up a $7 eyeshadow palette during my grocery run, then spend $30 on one lipstick without batting an eyelash. It's all about balance in the world of beauty, and I have a soft spot for everything Hard Candy ever since I fell for their concealer, baked blush, bronzer, highlight and eyeshadow 4 years ago. Today I'm sharing my thoughts on some of their new releases for Spring Summer 2018, which are all available online and in-store at Walmart.
Hard Candy Top 10 Eye Palette Birthday Suit
$6.58 CAD
I am beyond happy with the pigmentation and lasting power of these matte shadows from Hard Candy. Each shade is unique, and they work well for all skin and eye tones. The packaging is sleek with a mirror inside and a cool leatherette and studding detail which you can see here. I'm all about some matte neutrals for office makeup, and this fits the bill.
Hard Candy Brows Now! Medium Dark
$6.98 CAD
I use up brow products quicker than any other makeup product, and I enjoy throwing a 2-in-1 tinted gel in my bag for easy touchups. I don't reach for a setting gel every day, but more so when I'm doing a glam look for a night out. I have this Brows Now! fiberized gel and highlighter duo in Medium Dark, but would definitely jive better with Light Medium since this one is practically black.
The star of the show for me here is the highlighter side. I adore how you can separate the gel from the highlight, and hook them back up if you need. The highlighter is creamy, pigmented and so pearly. I'll apply some to my cheekbones using my fingertips for that dewy glow.

Hard Candy Fox in A Box Scented Baked Highlighter and Marbleized Baked Blush
$7.98 CAD
Hard Candy is known for their boxed blushes, that look like impressive dupes for Benefit's more expensive boxed powders. I love the packaging on these, with small brushes and lightweight boxes that look very cute on your vanity. The highlight gives you the perfect summer glow, and the blush adds a pop of pink that has noticeable pearlescence. I don't reach for these powders all the time since I find the packaging to be a bit boxy, the brushes aren't that soft and the blush shade is a touch too blue-toned for my every day looks. That being said, you get a great bang for your buck and these powders show up very well on the skin.
In the photo above I'm wearing the boxed highlight and blush. The highlight is a great shade for my summer skin. I'd probably recommend picking up their baked blush over the boxed blush, but both are really good for that low price.
Hard Candy Plumping Serum Volumizing Lipgloss
$6.98
The standout product from this line that I've used the most is their Plumping Serum Volumizing gloss. at $7 you can't go wrong with this lip product. It's a smooth, moisturizing gloss that comes in a chic rose gold tube. I adore this nude shade (I can't find the exact name) since it had a bit of pigment and lasts for a long time on the lips. There's no strange tingling or taste, just juicy lips that feel and look really healthy.
