The amount of times I crave brownies during an average week is probably concerning. There's just something so satisfying about a smooth chocolatey snack mid-afternoon, but due to laziness I almost always resort to a little KitKat instead.
I've been seeing mug cake recipes all around Pinterest lately, so one day I decided to try it out. Needless to say, I'm hooked. 5 minutes, 5 ingredients, and a whole lot of yum.

Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp honey, to taste

Directions:
- Mash the banana using a fork, then incorporate the honey, egg, milk and cocoa powder (slowly). I much prefer the smooth consistency when I mix up the ingredients using a Magic Bullet
- Microwave for 3 mins
- Let cool, then enjoy!

I love watching that microwave magic. |
This mug cake is extremely moist, and definitely takes on that soufflé texture that I love. The second time I made it, I greased my mug before pouring in the mixture then popped out the cake to cool (video here). That method works great if you have a bit of extra time, especially since it'll reduce the chances of burning your tongue.
I hope you try it out! This simple chocolate cake is heavenly, and healthy.
