I’ve been an avid
reader of ELLE Canada for ages. I find that this particular Canadian magazine has very professional
articles that span a wide range of topics, suitable for all
ages. Living in Toronto means that we're right in the centre of all the action, especially where fashion and beauty are concerned. I signed up to be an ELLE VIP events member at least a year ago, which put’s you on the list for invites to their
fun-filled evenings happening a few times each year.
We were all greeted at
the door with a glass of white wine, and then proceeded to take a seat end
enjoy a Q&A interview with the super successful, gorgeous and hilarious
author.
The rest of the
evening included mini-manicures from The Ten Spot, makeup touch-ups from
Smashbox, and raffles in collaboration with The Corsage Project. If you
brought in a lightly used bridesmaid dress as a donation to the charity, you
were gifted a Smashbox lip product.
It was such an
enjoyable event, mingling over hors d’oeuvres and enjoying little desserts,
both on the outdoor patio area and inside the lounge.
As a beauty
enthusiast, I was thrilled to receive such a luxe gift bag, which included
a little addition from each of the sponsors: A bottle of BFF Red fromGirl’s Night Out, A Smashbox hydrating primer (ob-sesssed), an Essie nail
polish in Splash of Grenadine (one of my favourite shades) along with a yummy
strawberry-vanilla lip balm from The Ten Spot. We all went home with a signed
copy of Always the Bridesmaid, which I started reading on my
vacation last week. Not only is the book seriously relatable, but it adds a
really authentic dose of humour as you get to know each character. I’d highly
recommend it as a fun, light read! For the $25 ticket price, I’m so looking forward to the next ELLE VIP night out.
xx
