Now that August has come and gone, I can confidently say that the weather this summer really sucked. Both when I was at home and away, I never felt fully comfortable or prepared for the fluctuating temps. Too many days were spent shivering in the dreary rain, or peeling of layers in the sweltering sun. I'm really not looking forward to sub-zero temperatures, but I am enjoying the fresh fall chill that has now fallen over the city. A warm quilted moto jacket, rich coloured pants, and fun accessories have been my definite go-tos this past week.
Beaded Tank - Endless Rose at Mendocino (summer sale in june), Jacket - Gap, Pants - Uniqlo, Flats - Topshop, Bag - Lonchamp (Limited Edition Les Planètes 2011), Necklace - Della Mora Designs |
I can't get enough of my new wine coloured legging pants from Uniqlo. The hue matches with just about anything, and the fit is absolutely perfect. They slide on like leggings, but look like real jeans (no button or zip). I also recently picked up this cute quilted moto jacket from The Gap, which happened to be on sale in-store. It's super warm and can be zipped up to the neck for those extra chilly evenings. I've never invested in a good leather jacket, so this cotton style is a great alternative, for a fraction of the cost.
We officially have one more week left of summer, so let's hope for a few more warm, sunny days before the real chill arrives.
xx
