This particular spot had various cannons on display, in remembrance of the American Civil War. It also had an abundance of small fly swarms, which forced our visit to be quite brief.
We made the hike to the Harpers Ferry Market, which is pretty much a giant countryside garage sale. There were mostly small collectible items, old glass bottles, and guns/knives out for sale. All things were priced quite reasonably and the crowd was very pleasant. It was truly a unique experience, to say the least.
And finally, the recharge stop. There's nothing quite like sipping on a glass of cold tea at the end of a long day of walking in the sun. We enjoyed some pizza at a local Pub in Shepherdstown, which was just heavenly.

I have been to Harper's Ferry too & it is surely a beautiful, quaint place.
