Striped Tee and Platforms

The popular chiffon maxi dresses and skirts provide a very chic and classy appearance without adding extra weight or warmth. This is key in the hot summer months, especially when you need to hide unsightly legs. Paired with a simple striped tee, the cute pop of pink adds a fresh twist to a basic black and white outfit.

Platforms can be a bit weird, but these ones from Gap are some of my faves. They're also my most comfortable pair of shoes which add a bit of height. Socially acceptable, fashion forward and comfy as a cloud.... what could be better?

Simple chain jewellery is definitely all the rage this year, along with subtle metallic accessories. Adding a hint of shimmer never hurts, just make sure you don't overdo it! Nothing is worse than shiny overkill... that is instant tacky in my eyes. Throwing on a simple blazer is the perfect, most easy way to turn this outfit from day, to night! Add a bit more of a dramatic makeup look, and BAM. Ready to hit the town.

Throwing on a jewelled headbad is so helpful when the days get sticky, because the hair-on-face feeling can be just as annoying as a wedgie or crumpled sleeves under a sweater. Believe me.
