Unboxing: Spring Luxe Box

Today I'm welcoming back the Loose Button Luxe Box, which I first talked about in a post linked here. This Canadian beauty subscription box is the only one I have tried, and for under $30 quarterly, I'm impressed. Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see my unboxing video.

Here are the 7 products I received in my Spring 2015 Luxe Box:

1. Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk ($5)
I usually buy the green cap "oil absorbing with nettle extract" dry shampoo from Klorane (reviewed here), so I'm interested to see how this "gentle oat extract" one differs. I'm also a huge fan of coupons so the $3 off is perfect. I always wait to use these coupons since Klorane goes on sale at Shoppers. The price will be $10.99 reduced from the typical $13.99.

2. Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid ($14 - trial size)
Love! It's great to see Paula's Choice entering into the Canadian market and I'm thrilled to have a travel size of my favourite skin treatment (see the review here).

3. Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Polish in Petal Pink ($6)
This is an extremely sheer pink shade, which would work nicely as a quick one coat on bare nails just to shine them up. I've seen some decent reviews on other shades, and these polishes are readily available in-store (Eatons Centre, for example).

4. Eyeko Brow Gel ($25)
This universal tinted brow gel comes off as a cool-toned brown with a slightly green undertone. I think it would work nicely on most hair and skin colours since it could complement brown, dark blonde or grey/black if layered on top of a pencil or powder. I also love the tiny brush.

5. Missha 24K Gold Caviar Collagen Cotton Sheet Mask ($2)
I've heard great things about the Missha bb creams and I love Korean sheet masks in general, so I can't wait to try this one out.

6. Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation Card ($2)
I'm not a fan of liquid foundation since I much prefer the finish of my Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation, but this is a nice option for when I do other people's makeup.

7. Loose Button Dual-Ended Foundation Brush ($10)
I do like the concept of this brush and I have been enjoying it for blending out concealer, but I can't say that I would purchase it if I had the option. Mine broke while I was washing it, and it smelled strongly of plastic when I took it out of the package. I much prefer my $3 wet n wild brush (reviewed here) for blending out my concealer.

I didn't get every product mentioned in my previous post, but I'm really happy with the selection that I received.

Final Verdict: The price I would have payed for this box is around $28 after tax. Seeing as how the regular retail price for all the items in my box would be approximately $70, this beauty subscription box service is well worth the money. My favourites are the brow gel and sheet mask, along with the dry shampoo and BHA liquid that I talk about over and over. Big love for Luxe Box. Click here to visit their site and subscribe.
